Heath Keller 9K's

A Come from Behind Win in the 9th Pushes Team 5 to 6-0

It wasn't pretty, but in the end, Team 5 found a way to remain undefeated. Sound pitching and defense led to the victory on a beautiful day to play a ballgame.

With only 7 hits in the game for Team 5, they managed to score 6 runs and go on to win 6-2.

Heath Keller started the game on the hill for Team 5 on a high note by striking out the leadoff hitter. It would be one of nine strikeouts that Keller would have in the game. Keller pitched 6 innings striking out 9 of the 18 recorded outs and giving up 2 runs. Not a bad day.

Team 4 was able to push across a run in the first after stringing a couple of hits together. Team 5, as usual, went quietly in the first.

In the second, due to walks and errors, Team 5 scored 2 runs on no hits and were able to take a 2-1 lead. That lead would end in the fourth when again Team 4 would push a run across to tie the game.

That would be all for Team 4 in the scoring department. Keller gave way to Michael Simon in the 7th who pitched 3 scoreless innings for the save.

The big hit of the game was a two run single to right by centerfielder Rob Weber in the 6th. It gave Team 5 a little breathing room and the confidence to finish out the game and earn the victory.

Final Score:

Team 5 -6 Team 2- 2
